Enrollment

Become part of the Tawacomen Tribe by submitting a free application. Enrollment is open to all Native descendants seeking to reconnect with their ancestral roots and preserve their heritage.

Our enrollment team reviews documentation using the same standards and best practices employed by recognized tribal enrollment offices — including vital records, family trees, historical records, and, where applicable, DNA evidence.

We recognize that many Indigenous descendants were separated from their heritage through erasure, displacement, and forced assimilation. Even if your lineage is distant or partially undocumented, you are welcome to apply. Our verification process honors both ancestral records and modern DNA evidence as valid proof of heritage.

The Tawacomen Tribe stands as a sovereign Indigenous community that does not seek federal recognition. Our legitimacy flows from our people and our heritage — not from colonial approval.
